Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what small business owners usually ask before starting.
How long does a new website take?+
Most small business sites take a few weeks from kick-off to launch. The biggest factor is usually how quickly content — text, images, logos — comes back from you. We agree a timeline up front so you know what to expect.
What does a website cost?+
It depends on the number of pages, whether you need e-commerce or booking, and how much content work is involved. We quote a fixed price after a short call, so there are no surprise invoices later.
Do I own my website once it's built?+
Yes. You should always own your domain, your hosting account and the site itself. We'll set things up in your name and hand over access at launch.
What does hosting cost?+
Domain hosting is £20 per month, or £216 per year if you pay annually — a 10% saving. That covers hosting, your SSL certificate, domain renewals and DNS management.
Do I have to host with you?+
No. Hosting is optional — if you'd rather host elsewhere, we'll build the site and hand it over. Most clients prefer us to handle it so there's one point of contact when something needs changing.
What if I already have a domain?+
We can transfer it across or simply point it at your new site — whichever is less disruptive. The domain stays registered in your name either way.
How will I know the site is working?+
We set up enquiry tracking before launch so calls and form submissions are recorded, and hosting includes uptime monitoring so problems get spotted before your customers do.
Am I tied into a long contract?+
